Dr. Claire Klieger is thrilled to be joining the Swarthmore community. She brings with her to the Executive Director role more than 15 years of career development experience with an emphasis on empowering students to embrace the strong transferable skills gained from their liberal arts education to have a positive impact on the world. Claire relates particularly well to students who are unsure of what they want to do after they graduate because that is how she felt as an undergraduate at the University of Virginia studying English and Anthropology. Claire also has master’s and doctorate in higher education management from the University of Pennsylvania. She spent her formative years living in the Middle East and North Africa and has done international development consulting work in Morocco.
In her spare time, Claire enjoys spending time with her family, taking her dog Coco for long walks, and embarking on adventures whenever possible.
