Historic seasons for the men’s lacrosse and men’s tennis teams will continue this week as both earned the right to host their respective Centennial Conference (CC) tournaments by going undefeated against conference opponents.

In men’s lacrosse, the Garnet are ranked fourth in NCAA Division III with a 14-1 record, including an 8-0 mark against Centennial competition. Swarthmore boasts victories over fifth-ranked Dickinson College and ninth-ranked Gettysburg College and enters the conference tournament with a 10-game win streak.

The team will face off against either Gettysburg or Washington College on Thursday, May 2, at Clothier Field Stadium at a time to be determined. With a win, Swarthmore would advance to the final on Saturday, May 4, and have a chance to claim the first CC title in program history in front of a home crowd.

The men’s tennis program went 8-0 in Centennial matches for the second straight year and will begin its conference title defense at Faulkner Courts on Friday, May 3, against either Franklin & Marshall College or Gettysburg. A win would propel Swarthmore to its eighth consecutive CC final.

The 10th-ranked Garnet compiled a 19-1 record against strong competition, both regionally and nationally, with standout performances from Michael Melnikov ’26, who is ranked 15th in Division III in singles and seventh in doubles with partner Utham Koduri ’26.

In other postseason action, the reigning CC champion softball team will host Gettysburg at Clothier Softball Field on Thursday, May 2, at a time to be determined. Win or lose, Swarthmore would continue in the double-elimination tournament taking place at Washington College in Chestertown, Md.

Swarthmore finished the regular season with an 11-5 mark in conference play and earned the second seed after a three-way tie atop the standings went in Washington’s favor.

The 36th-ranked women's tennis team also qualified for the conference postseason as the third seed and hosts Washington College at Faulkner on Tuesday, May April 30 at 5:00 p.m.

The men's and women's track & field teams will go for the gold at the conference championship meet held from May 3-5 on the campus of Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa.

On the links, the men’s golf team finished second in the CC tournament last weekend. Benjamin Garcia-Moreira ’27 and Dylan Zhang ’26 tied for fourth overall to earn a selection to the All-Centennial Team.
