War News Radio's report on Iraqi refugees - about one family currently settled in Iowa, and another family on their way to the U.S. from Syria - was recently featured on the "American Influence" podcast produced by Public Radio International's The World. The report was produced by Emily Hager '10, WNR journalist-in-residence Abdulla Mizead, and Hansi Lo Wang '09, with voice over assistance provided by Gabriel Ramirez '10. WNR alum Amelia Templeton '06, refugee policy analyst at Human Rights First, provided background research. more

PRI's The World is a one-hour, weekday radio news magazine offering a mix of news, features, interviews, and music from around the globe. It is a co-production of BBC, PRI, and WGBH in Boston. War News Radio was previously featured on the program in January 2006.
