Sigma Xi's annual Student Research Poster Session

The 2017 Sigma Xi poster session took place in the Science Center Commons on Thursday, September 21 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm and on Friday, September 22 from 11:30 am - 2:00 pm. Ninety nine students who performed their research on campus and elsewhere (mostly through REU programs) presented their work.  The poster session provided a ground for exciting scientific discussions and engaged the larger Swarthmore community, including high-achieving high school seniors who were visiting campus as part of the Discover Swarthmore program.  The poster session program can be found here; it contains abstracts for all posters and reflects diversity in research scope of Swarthmore students summer experiences.

Our 2016 student research poster session was held on September 15 and 16:  View the session program, which contains abstracts for all posters.

Our 2015 student research poster session was held  on September 17 and 18: View the session program, which contains abstracts for all posters.

There is funding available for students to travel in order to collect data or to take part in research collaborations. We also provide a research stipend for one or two students each summer. Check out the funding page for more details!
