How to Get Medications

The Student Health and Wellness Service maintains a small medication dispensary for some common medications. We are not a full-service pharmacy and cannot fill prescriptions from other medical providers outside of the college health service.

Most over-the-counter and prescription medications that we carry are available to students at cost.  All prescription medications dispensed at the Student Health and Wellness Center must be prescribed by a licensed health care provider at Student Health and Wellness Service or administered through student health center protocols.

Prescriptions from providers outside of Student Health and Wellness Service and/or prescriptions that cannot be filled at the health center such as psychotropic medications, can be filled at a local pharmacy (see below).

Basic dispensary medications available at Student Health and Wellness Service are dispensed by protocol. These include oral contraceptives and medications for "acute" care situations such as colds, bacterial infections, upset stomach, asthma, allergies.  Most prescriptions for chronic medical and psychological conditions can be filled through a local pharmacy.
