The Director, Equal Opportunity and Engagement provides the following support to members of the Swarthmore College Community:
- Responds to faculty, staff, and student concerns arising out of equity and diversity issues, including perceived discrimination and harassment. Several college policies exist to inform the appropriate interactions and relationships of community members. The Director can help community members understand these policies and determine which apply to the concerned.
- Collaborates with individual departments and search committees to support recruitment efforts to employ and retain excellent employees whose rich diversity experiences further the College's central objectives and values.
- Provides discrimination and harassment prevention training to employees and groups of students (i.e., RAs).
