What to do during breaks

Health Care Resources during times when the health center is closed, during breaks, and at a student's discretion.

Please be aware of your individual insurance coverage policies and how they would pertain to services "out of plan network" or "out of state".

Students can utilize the after hours on call number, 610-328-8548 to speak with a registered nurse when the Student Health & Wellness Center is closed.

Administrative questions: e-mail Student Health & Wellness at health@swarthmore.edu. Your e-mail will be returned during the next several business days. We are generally not open for routine Clinical Services during breaks.

Adolescent Medicine Specialist: 610-490-1755 Dr. Rima Himelstein

Internal Medicine Associates: 610-447-6788 members of Crozer Health System, work with the Swarthmore College Student Health and Wellness Service. They are available during college break times for appointments at their office in Chester, PA or on-call for urgent issues. You will need to use your insurance card for health care at their office. Emergency health issues should be addressed by calling Safety and Security x8333 or 911 or going directly to a nearby hospital emergency room.

Premier Orthopedic Urgent Care Center: Monday-Friday 3:30pm-7:30pm. 610-566-5723 walk-in Clinic Located in nearby Media, PA.

Minute Clinic: in CVS, offers acute care walk-ins for minor illnesses and some preventive health services as well. The nearest location is 10 minutes away by car in Springfield, PA.
