Managing Your Award
Congratulations! A Few Reminders:
As you celebrate your successful grant, please bear in mind that your new funding comes with responsibilities. As soon as you receive the good news, be sure to take the following steps.
- If the award was sent directly to you, please make a copy of the check, award letter, and any other documentation for your files.
- A Sponsored Programs staff person can arrange for the originals (check, letter, and documentation) to be picked up. Please do not send checks or award documentation through campus mail. Associate Director Joe Watson will "profile" the gift and distribute copies of the profile to the Grantee, the Provost, the Gift Records Office, Communications, and members of senior staff. The Gift Records staff and/or Senior Account will ensure that the check is deposited into the correct account. Programs staff will also ensure that the check is deposited in the correct account.
- After you receive your copy of the profile, you may contact Senior Accountant Denise Risoli (email@example.com) to request access to your new account.
- Send copies of all correspondence (including project reports) between you and the funder over the life of the grant to the Sponsored Programs office.
