Social Responsibility in the 21st Century: A Celebration of the Lang Opportunity Scholars Program

Joy Charlton, professor of sociology and executive director of the Eugene M. Lang Center for Civic and Social Responsibility, introduced and served as moderator for the panel, which featured: Vincent Jones '98, senior program officer, Liberty Hill Foundation, Los Angeles Barbara Klock, M.D. '86, physician, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Pediatric and Adolescent Care, Roxborouh, Philadelphia Lourdes Rosado '85, associate director, Juvenile Law Center, Philadelphia Jeremy Weinstein '97, associate professor of political science, Stanford University, and director for development and democracy, National Security Council The event took place as part of A Celebration of Eugene M. Lang '38 in February 2011. It was followed by a second panel discussion: Artists as Agents of Social Change.
