Shayne Lightner '87: The Entertainment Industry "Take One"

Shayne Lightner '87 has over 20 years experience in the entertainment industry. He is also a film director whose documentary Iroquois Rising, about the Iroquois Nationals in the 2006 World Lacrosse Championships, premiered at the Museum of Tolerance International Film Festival in 2010. He also wrote, produced, and directed Salt and Light, a documentary of the sixth World Conference of Friends held near Nakuru, Kenya in 2012.

Lightner, who earned a B.A. in economics from Swarthmore, has previously worked as director of programming for Nostalgia Network, Inc., managing director of Korn/Ferry International, and head of executive talent for idealab! in Pasadena. Currently, he is a principal at Sunset Entertainment Partners, an executive search firm dedicated to the recruitment of the next generation of leaders for the entertainment, media, and new media industries.
