Associate Professor of History and Black Studies Coordinator Allison Dorsey (right) spoke in Savannah, Ga., in Spring 2008 about black settlement and community on Ossabaw Island. Her talk was part of a symposium on the Atlantic world and African American life and culture in the Georgia lowcountry from the 18th to 20th century.
