In honor of the 2009 Bicentennial Celebration of Abraham Lincoln's birth Feb. 12, Friends Historical Library  and McCabe Library launched an exhibit that showcases rare correspondence between Lincoln and the Quakers during the turbulent years of the Civil War. As staunch abolitionists, Quakers urged Lincoln to decree the emancipation of the slaves.  more
