Swarthmore Connect, powered by EverTrue, is a mobile app for smartphone users to connect with fellow alumni and the College. Swarthmore Connect is not a replacement for the online directory but is a mobile tool that draws information from public social media platforms and the College's database records. It is only accessible to alumni of Swarthmore College.
Swarthmore Connect will go live on Monday, Aug. 4, 2014!

Q: Who can use Swarthmore Connect? Is my information secure?
A: Only Swarthmore alumni can access Swarthmore Connect. In order to use the app, you must use a name and email in the Swarthmore database and have access to that registered email on your mobile device. In addition, you will be required to set a 4-digit passcode to open the app after logging in, without which access is denied.
Q: Can I call or email alumni directly from the app?
A: Yes, simply click on the email or phone number in the profile of whoever you wish to contact. Phone calls are possible only from devices with phone capability.
Q: Can I use Swarthmore Connect from my laptop or desktop?
A: No, Swarthmore Connect is only accessible from mobile devices. If you'd like to view directory information from your desktop or laptop computer, please visit the online community here.
Q: How do I get Swarthmore Connect, powered by EverTrue, on my mobile device?
A: Swarthmore Connect will go live on Monday, Aug. 4, 2014. Check back then for instructions on how to download and use Swarthmore Connect.
Q: How do I customize my privacy settings or update my contact information?
A: If you wish, you may customize your settings so that specific information will be suppressed. Contact email@example.com for more information.
Submit a request before July 31, and your suppressed information will not be viewable in the app, due to launch on Aug. 4, 2014. Requests will be honored on an ongoing basis, but your contact information may be publicly viewable temporarily if the request is not received by July 31.
Q: How do I connect using my LinkedIn account, and why should I connect?
A: The app allows you to connect and network with other alumni using both LinkedIn and Facebook. On logging in to the app, you will be asked whether you wish to connect via LinkedIn and/or Facebook. Choose one or both, or neither. Once in the app, you can view information that alumni have included in their LinkedIn and Facebook profiles as well as the number of connections you have in common. Anything marked as private in Facebook or LinkedIn remains private. If you are not connected to an alum, you will not see his/her private information, nor will he/she be able to view yours. Don't forget to list Swarthmore College in the education field in your LinkedIn profile, and be sure to join the Swarthmore College LinkedIn group!
If you opt not to immediately connect your LinkedIn and Facebook accounts, you may do so at anytime by going to Settings and clicking on Manage Accounts. Similarly, you may disconnect those accounts at any time.
