Lourdes Rosado ’85—Legal Advocate

Lourdes Rosado ’85, longtime attorney at the Juvenile Law Center in Philadelphia, is the new chief of the civil rights bureau for the New York Attorney General’s office. The bureau enforces laws prohibiting discrimination in housing, education, and other areas based on criteria including race, ethnicity, religion, age, and sexual orientation. Rosado holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law and an LL.M. from the Georgetown University Law Center. She joined the Juvenile Law Center as a staff attorney in 1998 and was associate director of the group from 2009 to 2015.
