Eleanor Duguid Craig ’60

EileenCraig.jpgEleanor Duguid Craig ’60, associate professor of economics in the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware, recently celebrated a half century of teaching. Craig has managed to touch nearly 12,000 students during her 100 semesters of teaching, in addition to winter and summer sessions, and she has never missed a class. She earned a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and is a recipient of the Lerner College Outstanding Faculty Service Award, the Outstanding Teacher Award, and many fellowships. She also holds a variety of lecture titles from several countries and colleges. In addition to the University of Delaware, Craig has worked with former Gov. Pierre du Pont to help create Delaware’s Financial Center Development Act, which she believes is her most significant external service. She has served on many different public and private sector boards, including the Swarthmore College Board of Managers from 1986–89.
