JAMES ROWLEY ’85

James Rowley ’85 has won the Excellence in Education Award from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). The award recognizes his work with the AASM as creator of the online practice examination, chair of the education committee and the AASM board review course, and as editor of the sleep fragments section of the American Thoracic Society Web site. Rowley specializes in and is board certified in sleep medicine, critical care medicine, pulmonary disease, and internal medicine. He is an associate professor and fellowship program director in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine’s Department of Medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Rowley practices pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine at the Detroit Medical Center and the Harper Hospital Sleep Disorders Center.
