Jane Fraser ’71

box_fraser_jane.jpgJane Fraser ’71 has been named the inaugural recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Industrial Engineering Division of the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE). The award recognizes outstanding service to the industrial engineering discipline. “As a woman in engineering, I know what it is like to feel discouraged,” Fraser says, “and this recognition from my national colleagues tells me to continue to help students achieve their best.” Fraser has been chair of the Department of Engineering at Colorado State University–Pueblo for 12 years and has also served ASEE in various leadership capacities. Her areas of research include probability, statistics, quality control, and decision analysis. She was a founding member of the Pueblo Technology Alliance, an outreach program connecting with the local community, schools, businesses, and Colorado community colleges. Fraser is also involved in the Pueblo Retention and Expansion Program, which focuses on retaining and attracting businesses to Pueblo.
