Graph

In this course we examine the economics of the demand for and supply of medical care and medical insurance; the economics and ethics of standard and new medical treatments; the supply of and demand for health care labor; the current and alternative future roles of the government in regulating health care; and alternative models of health care delivery and financing employed in a variety of countries. We will also examine the intersection of cost-benefit analysis with ethical issues in health care delivery.
