Response to President's Call for Sustainability Proposals

On September 1, 2014, Interim President Hungerford sent a message to campus asking everyone to “dream big, but concretely, about how Swarthmore can create change” with respect to stemming climate change and addressing the sustainable use of our resources. The campus responded deliberately and creatively. By the October 10th deadline, over 60 individual students, staff, faculty, and alumni, as well as full campus departments and committees, submitted more than 160 ideas.

Please download this spreadsheet [xls] to see a summary of the ideas.

Many of these ideas were submitted with thoughtful, detailed, multi-page proposals. If you would like to see the full proposal (where available) for any of these ideas or if you have any questions, concerns, or comments about these ideas or this summary, please email Laura Cacho (lcacho1).
