COVID-19 Health Resources and Phone Numbers

Please be aware that the Worth Student Health and Wellness Center is not open on the weekends, holidays or during breaks.  Though we are not present on campus during those times, the Team Health Nurse on Call system can be used for urgent medical questions or concerns. Please review this page to understand the best way to communicate any health concerns that may arise while you are on campus. 

Normal Business Hours

During normal office hours of the Worth Student Health and Wellness Center you can reach a provider by calling 610-328-8058.  Our typical hours of operation are Monday-Thursday, 9am-4:45pm and Fridays 9am-4pm during the academic year. We do have occasional changes to our typical hours.

Evenings, Nights, Weekends, and Breaks

During evenings, nights, weekends, academic breaks and holidays there are several options depending on your needs.

  • In the event of a life threatening medical or mental health emergency, please call public safety to assist with transport to a hospital or call 911. Public safety telephone number: 610-328-8333.
  • For urgent health questions, please call the Team Health Nurse on Call service for over the phone medical advice. Please note that this registered nurse is NOT affiliated with the College, however our staff will receive a report of this encounter and will follow up with you within 48 hours. Nurse on call can be reached at 610-328-8548. 
  • For urgent mental health needs, please call the on call counselor at 610-328-7768.
  • For non-urgent COVID-19 related medical questions, please send a secure message to “Covid 19 provider” through your health portal. This messaging system is directly linked to your electronic health record and is the recommended means of communication. 
  • For non-urgent administrative questions, please email health@swarthmore.edu.

Accessing COVID-19 home antigen tests 

We encourage you to keep a couple of rapid test kits at home or in your dorm room so you have them on hand if you develop symptoms or need to test for another reason.  Test kits are readily available at most retail pharmacies and the College's bookstore.
