Beatriz Ramírez Canosa

Beatriz Ramírez received her B.A. and her M.A. from the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain), where she specialized in Hispanic Applied Linguistics and Literature. Beatriz also holds an M.A. in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, from the University of Salamanca, the oldest university in the Spanish-speaking world. This postgraduate degree became crucial in her career, receiving up-to-date training on second language (L2) pedagogy as well as a wide range of foreign language teaching methodologies.

Her teaching experience has been enriched by cooperating with varied institutions, such as the University of Salamanca, the University of Santiago, Charles University of Prague and Appalachian State University, in North Carolina. Currently, Beatriz´s interests focus on the evaluation of both written and speaking language exams for the Instituto Cervantes, where she collaborates as a certificated examiner of the DELE Spanish Diplomas.
