Assistant Professor of Economics
Marc Remer is an expert in antitrust, mergers, collusion, industrial organization, and the retail gasoline industry. Before joining Swarthmore, he spent five years as an economist in the Antitrust Division of the US Department of Justice where he was awarded the Assistant Attorney General Award of Distinction.
His work has been published in numerous academic journals, including Journal of Industrial Economics, International Journal of Industrial Organization, Journal of Economics and Management Strategy, Economics Letters, and Antitrust Bulletin.
He earned his B.A. from Emory University and his M.A. and Ph.D in economics from Johns Hopkins University.
