Professor of Economics
An expert on health economics and policy, Ellen Magenheim's current research focuses on applying insights from behavioral economics to improve outcomes in health and financial behavior. Her earlier research explores the economics of the child care industry and policy and the motivations for and effects of corporate mergers. Magenheim, who earned her Ph.D. from the University of Maryland in 1986, has served as a visiting scholar at Child Trends, Inc., in Washington, D.C. Her research is currently supported by the Donaghue Foundation.
