Art Portfolio Drop-off

   Come by the Department of Art and Art History Office, Beardsley 215, to sign up for a time to meet with Professor DeNizio. You should arrive with a portfolio - actual work or digital file. 

Swim Test

8:30 a.m.–10:15 a.m. in Ware Pool

See mySwarthmore for your 15-minute scheduled timeslot. Lifeguards and non-swimmers are not assigned a time. Lifeguards can present current certification to Karin Colby, swim test administrator, at any time during swim testing. Non-swimmers can register for a swim class during registration. Students with conflicts can take the swim test at a time that suits your schedule on swim test day. You would need to inform the proctor that you're taking the test at a different time than assigned.

First-Year Dean Karen Henry ’87 will moderate this session in which Dean of Academic Success Tomoko Sakomura and Registrar Martin Warner offer advice on choosing and registering for classes. College librarians will deliver research tips, career counselors will show ways first-year students benefit from engaging with Career Services, and Student Academic Mentors (SAMs) will share stories.

Grab a friend or make a new friend here as you join an Orientation Leader to visit four centers on campus and learn about the many valuable resources they offer. Groups leave at 1:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.

Come make friends, or bring a friend with you to learn about getting to know people. Learn how to set aside the small talk in your first-time interactions and have conversations that let you get to know one another on a deeper level right off the bat. Enjoy fruit and marshmallows with a chocolate fountain as you coat your new friendships in an extra layer of rich deep connection.
