Academic Support

student solving math problem

Welcome to Math & Stat Academic Support!

The Spring 2024 schedule of math/stat clinics is posted.  The last day of regularly scheduled Math/stat clinics will be Thursday May 2.  During the review and final exam period, there will be a limited number of clinics available, which are listed in the second tab of the clinic schedule spreadsheet.  Monday May 13 will be the last night of Math clinics for the semester.

There are four main types of clinics:

  • General Math/stat clinics are open to all students enrolled in a math or stat class.  These are drop-in sessions, no appointment necessary.
  • Course-specific clinics are available for students enrolled in a particular course or courses (Math 33/34, Math 39, Math 43/44).  These are drop-in sessions, no appointment necessary.
  • Pirate sessions are also for students enrolled in a particular course (Math 25 or Math 27), and the pirates also attend class to support students in-class.  These are drop-in sessions, no appointment necessary.
  • One-on-one clinics are 30 minute appointments to meet independently with a clinician.  These can be held in person or on zoom.  Go to appointment page at least 60 minutes in advance.

Send us feedback!

Swarthmore students may complete this form at any point during the year to give us feedback about the Math & Stat clinics.

Academic Support Coordinator

If you have any questions about getting help for your math or stat course, please contact the Academic Support Coordinator, Laura Dandridge.  You may schedule a time to meet individually with Laura in SC 138 or on zoom for direct support with prerequisite math skills, Math 25, or Stat 11, or to discuss other support options for higher-level courses.
