This one is easy. You probably already have an idea. So start thinking about things like where you want to have the event, what you'll need to run the event, and how much you'll need to pull it off.
It's time to get organized. Prepare a budget for your event. Think about the various campus resources you'll need to make your event work. Get your friends, your group, or find an established organization to partner with.
You'll need to reserve space on campus. You can do so easily using Swat Central. It is easy to use and you can find instructions online.
There are lots of ways to have fun free events on campus, but often events need some funding support. There are lots of resources to obtain funding depending on the type of event. Additionally, the OSE Interns offer limited funding for open events.
You can market your event through the reserved student digest and on the campus calendar via Swat Central. There are a lot of great resources to help you develop marketing materials, and OSE also offers graphic design support!

Make sure to stay organized leading up to the event. Do you need to pick up items off campus, follow up with various offices, or just double check you have all the permits? You should work with your team to clearly define roles so that your event is successful.
