2012 Dorothy Ditter Gondos Award
The Comparative Literature Committee announces its annual competition for the Dorothy Ditter Gondos Award. This award, offering prizes of $500 and $400, was bequeathed by Victor Gondos, Jr. in honor of his wife, Class of 1930. The award recognizes the student who submits the best paper treating literature not written in English. Preference is given to essays based on works read in the original language, but students from any major are eligible to enter the competition.
Submissions may be written in either English or a foreign language. Papers must be 15-25 typewritten pages, double-spaced, proofread, with pages numbered, and should be submitted to Carolyn Anderson in the English Department, LPAC 202, by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2012. The winner will be selected by members of the Comparative Literature Committee and notified by email toward the end of April or early May.
