Susan Smythe, was Director of the Lang Performing Arts Center, Swarthmore College since 1994. Susan is now concentrating on textile and costume design with her new company, Crooked Dog Designs. Notable Swarthmore productions: The Magic Flute, The Black Swan, Bastien and Bastienne, and countless student and faculty dance concerts. With Mum Puppettheatre: World Premieres of From the Ashes, When the War is Over, Séance, and Measuring Man. Additional Mum productions: Equus, The Madwoman of Chaillot, The Visit and The Puppetmaster of Lodz. Other projects: "Last Train to Philly" for Doug Elkins Dance, and opera premieres "Sukey in the Dark" and "Naomi in the Living Room" for Orchestra 2001. Upcoming productions include The Lady in the Van at Act II, and American Sublime with Interact. Barrymore nominee for costume design for Madwoman and Equus.
