David Disbrow is guest director of Anna Belc's '07 original play The Fishbowl.
David Disbrow directed the East Coast Premiere of Gombrowicz's Princess Ivona , a new adaptation of Eugene Ionesco's Rhinoceros, which received multiple Barrymore nominations, and Spaceguys for Theatre Exile, where he previously served as Co- Artistic Director. As an actor, David received a Barrymore Award for his work in The Laramie Project at the Philadelphia Theater Company and his performance in The Pitchfork Disney earned him a Barrymore nomination for Outstanding Leading Actor in a Play. He also performed regionally at The Wilma Theater, The Arden Theater, The Walnut Street Theatre, People's Light and Theater Company, Theater Row in New York, and the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland, among others. David was invited as an artist ambassador to Poland by the Polish Cultural Institute in 2003 (honorary guest at both the Konfrontacje Teatralne and the Festiwal Dialog-Wroclaw) and in 2004 returned to Lublin, Poland to premiere the short film The Marriage, which he co-wrote. Recently, David was a actor soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra, in a project that joined text with Shostakovich's 9th symphony.
