Sohail Bengali '79
Bengali, residing in the San Francisco Bay Area, joined the private investment firm Stone & Youngberg in 1985. Managing director since 1992, he is a member of the firm's board of directors and risk management and financial oversight committees and is past chair of the audit committee and former member of the strategic planning committee. He is a frequent guest lecturer on infrastructure finance and private-equity investments at UC-Berkeley's Haas School of Business.
A Board member since 2011, Bengali earned a B.A. in economics from Swarthmore, then an M.S. in civil engineering from MIT in 1982 and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School in 1984. He is married to a Swarthmore alumna.
