David Singleton '68
David Singleton ‘68, a resident of Wilmington, Del., has served as vice president at the University of Delaware, chief administrative officer for New Castle County, Del., and secretary of finance for the State of Delaware. Previously, he served as a managing director at J.P. Morgan and Co.
Singleton is a member of the American Friends Service Committee and Delaware Community Foundation, and has been a past member of the Delaware Health Commission, Delaware State Pension Board and Alliance for Downtown New York.
Singleton earned a B.A. in sociology-anthropology from Swarthmore and completed a one-year graduate criminology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. He served on the Board of Managers from 2000-2003 and rejoined the board in 2015. He is also active on the board of the Delaware Community Foundation. He is married to Elaine Hughes Singleton.
