Kimberly is a high school history teacher and community college professor. She also is a Texan, African-American woman, Russian-speaker, bibliophile, dog mom and Magic the Gathering player. She is dedicated to building a love of lifelong learning in her students in rural Texas. Says Kimberly, “My purpose is to help my students develop skills that will not only help them in the workforce, but will help shape their thinking and understanding to become better members of their communities. For me, teaching history is about helping people gain a better understanding of themselves and the world around them.”
