Campus - Wide Events

There is always something happening at Swarthmore, even virtually! We invite you to join members of our community in these campus events happening this Spring! (These are College and department sponsored events - these are not hosted through the Admissions Office.)

  • Meditation with the Interfaith Center - Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:15-3:30pm ET
    • The Interfaith Center welcomes those of any faith or no faith to join meditation sessions led by one of our religious advisors. No prior experience in meditation required. No registration required, just join here at the time of the event.
  • GLARE - Available for live streaming April 9 - 11 at 8p.m., 9p.m., and 10p.m. ET
    • GLARE is a producation from Swarthmore's Theater department. Show description: Laura is grieving - so why doesn’t it feel that way? With a little help from movie magic, come watch her try to grieve — the right way! On this kaleidoscopic journey, refracted through story, image, and media, we are left to ask: what is fiction and what is really us?  Registration for this event has passed.
  • Moving for Justice: Indian Dance and Dissent - April 16, 9:45a.m. - 1p.m. ET & April 17th, 9:45a.m. - 1 p.m. ET
    • A speaker series sponsored by Swarthmore's Dance department. In this urgent moment of civil disobedience and transnational collaborations, we want to rethink the interrelation of dance, culture, and bodies, focusing on India, within the pervasive context of the erosion of democracy.  In this seminar, organized collaboratively by Jadavpur University, Kolkata (School of Media, Communication, and Culture) and Swarthmore College (Department of Dance and The Lang Center for Civic and Social Responsibility) we ask what kinds of actions can the practitioners and scholars of dance undertake to address the crucial issues of the times from a transnational and local perspective. Registration for this event has passed.
