Updates Regarding COVID-19
Updates to Campus Visits as of March 11, 2020 in light of the COVD-19 pandemic:
The Swarthmore Admissions Office is now closed to the public for in-person visits and phone calls through June 1; we remain open via email and virtual meetings.
While we remain hopeful that we will be able to offer limited in-person programming, such as self-guided tours, before May 1, we urge students and their families to refrain from making travel plans at this time. We will decide no later than March 17 if and when in-person campus events will resume and will post this information to our Admissions website. Please also note that visits to campus and other forms of demonstrated interest are not considered in our admissions process. For more information, please see our March 11, 2020 update for counselors regarding COVID-19.
We invite prospective and admitted students to view our website resources and engage with us virtually:
- Meet Swarthmore and our student videos, such as Why Swarthmore? and A First Generation Student’s Journey to Swarthmore College
- Follow our social media channels, such as Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook
- Sign up to receive a pre-recorded web-based information session and/or an information packet
- Contact their regional deans with any questions
