		To check for the presence of Tbx2in the whisker pad, mRNA was isolated, converted to cDNA, and then run in a diagnostic agarose gel. The band in lane marked "Whisker Tbx2" on the "1.5% Agarose Gel" image confirmed the presence of Tbx2. Since the presence of Tbx2was confirmed, the fact that both the control and the experimental groups exhibited similar morphologies cannot be attributed to the lack of Tbx2.
