[Two Roads Diverged...]

This is where I keep excerpts and poems that I find particularly moving, insightful, or interesting. The collection, thus far, is limited.

Of course, there's the Frost poem for which this section is named.

Here's a cynical excerpt from A Farewell to Arms by Ernest Hemingway.

And how about another: this one's from The Doors of Perception by Aldous Huxley.

Then there's If by Rudyard Kipling, which I seem to get the most e-mail about.

Finally, here's a Zen story, author unknown.

[Quotes]

Here's some miscellany that I couldn't put anywhere else:

Ring the bells that still can ring.
Forget your perfect offering.
There is a crack in everything.
That's how the light gets in.
--Leonard Cohen

There is no limit to desire but desire's needs.
--John Gardner, Grendel

One difference between a man and a machine is that a machine is quiet when well oiled.
--Anonymous (although I wish I'd thought of it)
