Second Tuesday Science Cafe is a monthly lunchtime lecture series that is provided by members of the College's science faculty. The talks at these events are geared towards individuals who have no formal science background. The only requirements are curiousity about science and a willingness to learn about new concepts.

The February 2014 talk was given by Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology Christopher Vecsey who, after studying at Amherst College recieved a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. Vecsey specializes in neurobiology and offers an intersting story relating to how the brain recognizes faces.
