Residence Halls

Heating and Energy Use

The college policy is to maintain temperatures between 68° and 72°. If you find your room is not warm enough, check out the heating tips for all residence halls (except Strath Haven) below, arranged alphabetically by residence hall name. All residents should make sure to not block the vents and close windows properly.

Heating the campus requires much energy, but did you know that in a typical November, the college uses more energy for shower water heating than for space heating? Keep track of your hall's real-time energy usage here.
