Project Idea: Building on the work of 2016-17 Fellows, work creatively to move Swarthmore towards being a zero-waste campus.
Behavior Change & Individual Impact
Project Idea: Continue Swarthmore’s ‘Community-Based Social Marketing’ initiative and other behavior change for energy management research.
Climate Protection & Carbon Pricing
Project Idea: Serve as a member of the Carbon Charge Committee and strategize other ways that Swarthmore can make an impact to reduce our institutional carbon emissions.
Crum Woods Engagement & Stewardship
Project Idea 1: Serve on and further the mission of the Crum Woods Stewardship Committee through the development of new proposals and documentation.

Project Idea 1: Help to develop institutional policies for office purchases and contracts in collaboration with Purchasing Office.

Project Idea 1: Work to develop a Strategic Plan for Sustainability in relation to Residential Life and Student Activities with the Office of Student Engagement.

Leadership & Sustainability Program Development
Project Idea 1: Lead the Office of Sustainability in developing a new Sustainability Guides Program, which will match offices/departments with Green Advisors to further sustainability goals.
Project Idea 2: Work to develop the PSRF Program itself by doing program evaluation, assessment, and ideation
Making it Work: Energy Efficiency
Project Idea 1: Assess the life cycles and energy efficiency of dining services equipment.
Project Idea 2: Promoting, researching and evaluating uses for the Green Revolving Loan Fund.
Sustainable Buildings: Design & Practice
Project Idea: Applying best practices of sustainable architecture by proposing plans for an Eco-Village, making select campus buildings “net zero,” or retrofitting buildings to be more energy efficient.
We are What we Eat: Sustainable Food
Project Idea: Assist Dining Services in tracking local food purchases and making information about campus food more accessible to the community.
