About Noemí

 Noemí Fernández has been the Student Wellness Program Manager at Swarthmore College since December 2014. In this position, she is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive program supporting the health and wellness of the student body and Swarthmore community.

​Noemí collaborates with various constituencies across campus to engage the community in best practices and initiatives for wellness programs. This includes but is not limited to Student Health and Wellness Services, the Athletic Department, and various student organizations.  
 
Prior to Swarthmore, Noemí completed her B.A. in History and Spanish Literature from Williams College and M.S. Ed. in Higher Education from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education. She was a Spanish teacher and coached four sports, including girls soccer, basketball, and lacrosse then worked in the Office of Admission at Wellesley College. In addition, Noemí has spent the past four years leading community service-based, language immersion programs in Costa Rica and Peru.
