Interview Days & Career Fairs
By participating in our consortium interview days, you have the opportunity to recruit not only motivated talented Swarthmore students and alumni, but also students and alumni from our partner schools. Swarthmore College has joined other colleges and universities to coordinate interview days in New York, Washington DC, and Philadelphia. Through these events, employers who have hiring needs and students interested in working for those organizations have the opportunity to interview in one location convenient to both parties. How do the consortium days work for employers?
- Employers register for the event they are interested in participating.
- Employers then submit job descriptions to be reviewed by students.
- Students review all job postings from the organizations involved and submit applications.
- Employers receive the student applications from the participating schools.
- Employers review the applications and select students they wish to interview.
- Employers notify the event coordinator of their selections.
- The event coordinator notifies the students of their interview selections and creates a schedule.
Consortium Interview Days You Can Participate In
Engineering and Technical Career and Internship Connection: The annual Engineering and Technical Career and Internship Connection is a day in the fall semester for employers and students in the engineering and technical fields to meet for pre-screened interviews. Additionally, ETCIC is offering virtual recruiting in the spring semester. Post your entry-level and internship opportunities with the ETCIC, and receive resumes electronically! The cost is $50 per employer and includes unlimited postings with application deadlines arranged at your convenience.
Fall Recruiting Consortium (FRC): FRC offers a unique opportunity to interview a large number of candidates during the heart of your recruiting season from six selective schools: Bard College, Sarah Lawrence College, Swarthmore College,Vassar College, Wesleyan University and The College of William and Mary. As a participating employer, you would have the chance to pre-select students you wish to interview; schedules are pre-arranged based on your selections. FRC will take place in October 2015.
DC Metro Link: The DC Metro Link provides an opportunity for employers from the metropolitan Washington area to meet students from Swarthmore College, The College of William & Mary, Duke University and Yale University interested in entry-level positions and internships. The Metro Link focused on public policy, think tanks, nonprofit organizations, and media. The next DC Metro Link will be held in February of 2015.
Consortium Career Fairs
By participating in our consortium career fairs, you have the opportunity to recruit not only motivated talented Swarthmore students and alumni, but also students and alumni from our partner schools. Swarthmore College collaborates with other colleges and universities to coordinate career fairs in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. with a focus on non-profit, government, teaching and public service opportunities.
The benefits of attending a consortium-based career fair include:

- Informal opportunity to identify candidates for employment and internship opportunities.

Consortium-Based Career Fairs You Can Participate In
Government and Non-profit EXPO: This event is hosted annually by Swarthmore College, Georgetown University, University of Virginia, University of Richmond, New York University, NYU's Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, and the College of William & Mary. This event attracted hundreds of students (undergraduate and graduate level) and alumni from six of the most recognized colleges and universities in the area who are seeking careers in the nonprofit, government and socially responsible business sectors. The next EXPO will be held in February of 2015.
Not-For-Profit Networking Fair: Philadelphia was an excellent opportunity for your non-profit organization to share information about jobs and internships with Swarthmore students and alumni, as well as participants from Bryn Mawr College, Haverford College, University of Pennsylvania and a host of other top colleges and universities. NFP Philadelphia will be held in February of 2015.
Philadelphia Nonprofit & Government Career Fair: We seek participation from non-profit organizations, representing issues ranging from the arts to human services/education to environmental concerns and federal government agencies. This event was designed to help you identify talented Philadelphia area students from top colleges and unversities for full time, part time, internship and volunteer/service positions.
