All Staff Meeting

All Staff meeting will be held on April 11, 2013 at 1:30 PM in LPAC. Current presenters are President Chopp, Sue Welsh, Pamela Prescod-Caesar and Mike Hill.

Circle Realignment

Since there are about 50 people moving to 101 Chester Rd, we are going to need to look at the circles as they stand now. Will a new circle be added, which will require a by-law change or will the current circles just be realigned? It was also noted that the circles currently included members that have moved to different circles but the updates to the circles were never made. Rose and Linda offered to look in depth and the current circle membership and make the necessary changes. Linda motioned to start a temporary circle to accommodate the staff being moved to 101 Chester Rd and Steve Palmer seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. The circle will be temporary through Fall 2013.

Some staff have mentioned that they are uncomfortable with student and staff solicitations. Student solicitation issues have been addressed by the Dean's office. The solicitation issue has reached Senior Staff. Pamela reminded everyone that there is a solicitation policy in the handbook. There is not a current solicitation policy for students but that will be addressed in the fall.

HR News

The HR website is currently being revamped to make navigation easier.

There will be some retirement enhancements coming in the fall that have been in the works for a few years.

SAC Business

Mary Carr said that there would be 8 SAC openings this spring. The following is a list and the name of the staff replacement if a replacement has been established:

  • Magill Circle - Delroy will continue as representative
  • Magnolia Circle - Kathy Agostinelli
  • Sharples Circle - Genevieve Nilan
  • South Circle - Christi Pappert
  • Rose Garden Circle - Tom Elverson and Ben Wilson
  • Tarble Circle - Patti Kim and Vince Vagnozzi
  • Scott Circle - Opening
  • Whittier Circle - Opening

It was suggested that the Circle reps have an informal meeting with their circle in the fall to introduce themselves.

Being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 11:30 a.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Kelly Fitzpatrick
Whittier Circle Representative
