Managing Your Award
Congratulations! A Few Reminders:
As you celebrate your successful grant with your colleagues and family, please bear in mind that your new funding comes with a few responsibilities. As soon as you receive the good news, be sure to take the following steps.
- Make a copy of the check, award letter, and any other documentation for your files.
- Send the originals (check, letter, and documentation) to the SPIR Office. SPIR staff will "profile" the gift and distribute copies of the profile to the Grantee, the Provost, the Gift Records Office, the Senior Accountant, the News and Information Office, and members of senior staff. The SPIR staff will also ensure that the check is deposited in the correct account.
- When you receive your copy of the profile, you may contact Senior Accountant Denise Risoli (email@example.com) to talk about how to gain access to your new account.
- Send copies of all correspondence (including project reports) between you and the funder to the SPIR office.
