Swarthmore Women's Lacrosse Makes Trip To ECAC Tournament

 

The Swarthmore College (10-6) women's lacrosse team will travel to Chestertown, MD this weekend to participate in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Mid-Atlantic Region Championship. The second-seeded Garnet will meet third seeded Ithaca College (11-7) on Saturday May 13 at 2:00 pm. Ithaca defeated Frostburg State (9-7), 10-7 today to advance to the semifinal round. Swarthmore received a bye along with host Washington College (13-2). The top-seeded Shorewmen will kick off the semifinal round when they host SUNY-Geneseo (11-5) at 12:00 pm. The fourth-seeded Knights defeated FDU-Madison, 14-9 on Wednesday to advance.

The winners play for the title Sunday at 1:00 pm.

This marks Swarthmore's third ECAC Mid-Atlantic Region semifinal appearance in the last four years.

Admission for the game is $3 for adults and $1 for students and children.
