Sherer Sets Pool Mark

 

Swarthmore College swimmer Ted Sherer (Middlebury, CT - Pomperang) powered his way to a victory in the 200 Breaststroke at the ECAC Championships held at the Goodwill Games Pool in East Meadow, NY. Sherer's time of 2:08.33 set the ECAC, Centennial Conference, and school records while provisionally qualifying him for the NCAA Championships. Sherer also provisionally qualified for the NCAA's in the 100 Breaststroke winning the event in a time of 58.92 on Saturday, December 4.

The junior captain topped his own Centennial and school mark of 2:09.07 in the 200 Breaststroke that he established at the 1999 Centennial Conference Championships in February. Sherer was named to this week's CentennialConference Swim Honor Roll for the double victory.
