Swarthmore, PA -- Swarthmore College Athletic Director Robert Williams has announced the appointment of Robert Roche to the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer.

Roche comes to Swarthmore after serving as the head athletic trainer of the Berlin Thunder of NFL Europe for the 2001 season. Roche has also served athletic training internships with the Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago Bears.

A 1998 graduate of West Chester University, Roche earned a bachelor of science degree in health and physical education with an emphasis in athletic training. In 2000 Roche received a master of science in kinesiology from the University of Illinois.
