Swarthmore's Reddy Earns Trip to Division III Women's Tennis Championships

 

Swarthmore College freshman Anjani Reddy (Ogden, UT / Bonneville) has been selected by the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Committee to compete in the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Singles Championships.

Reddy, ranked third in the Atlantic South Region, owns a 33-2 overall record. On the season, Reddy has captured the Centennial Conference Singles Championship and the 2000 ITA Southeast Regional Championship. At the 2000 Rolex National Small College Championships Reddy placed fifth. Playing at first singles and second doubles Reddy led the Garnet to a 12-3 overall mark and a Centennial Conference Team Championship. The Garnet was a perfect 10-0 in conference contests while Reddy posted a 15-0 mark against Centennial opponents.

The individual championships shall consist of 32 singles players. The selection of individuals for the championships is based on won-lost record, strength of schedule, eligibility and availability of student-athletes.

The singles championships will take place May 21-23. The finals will be held at Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas.
