Reddy Captures Centennial Women's Tennis Singles Championship

Top-seeded Swarthmore College freshman Anjani Reddy (Ogden, UT - Bonneville) defeated third-seeded Alyssa Kennedy of Haverford 6-3, 6-3 to capture the Centennial Conference Women's Tennis Singles Championship today, on the campus of Franklin & Marshall College. Reddy breezed through the competition with five straight set victories en route to the title.

Reddy becomes the second Swarthmore woman to capture the Centennial individual title in three years after teammate Jennifer Pao won the tournament in 1999.

Reddy, ranked third in the NCAA Division III Atlantic South Region posted a perfect 15-0 record in Centennial singles play this season and owns a 33-2 overall mark including a 2000 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Southeast Regional Singles title.

The Garnet captured its first Centennial Conference Team Championship since the 1995 season after posting a perfect 10-0 dual-match record. Swarthmore boasts a 14-3 overall record, a number five ranking in the Atlantic South Region and a number 22 ranking in Division III.
