Swarthmore Men's Tennis Makes 23rd Consecutive Appearance in NCAA's

The Swarthmore College men's tennis team will travel to Chestertown, Maryland this weekend to participate in the NCAA Atlantic South Regional Men's Tennis Championships. The Garnet will meet Washington & Lee University on Saturday May 12. The winner will face the host squad Washington College on Sunday for the right to advance to the NCAA quarterfinal at DePauw University, in Greencastle, Indiana. DePauw will be the site for the quarterfinal, semifinal and final rounds played on May 18-20.

The 8-5, Garnet defeated Washington & Lee on April 1, 4-3 in Lexington, Virginia but fell to Washington College, 6-1 at home on March 25.

This season marks Swarthmore's 23rd consecutive NCAA Division III Championship tournament appearance and 27th in the last 28 years. Swarthmore has earned national titles in 1977, 1981, 1985 and 1990.
