Swarthmore's Kristen English Named Division III Defender of the Year

Swarthmore College's Kristen English has been named Division III Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Year by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.

English, who won All-Centennial Conference and All-American honors this past season as a senior, recorded a career-high 34 points, scoring 25 goals and adding nine assists.

English, of Plymouth Meeting, Pa. (Plymouth Whitemarsh High), also won All-Conference and Centennial Conference Player of the Year honors in field hockey last fall.

Swarthmore's women's lacrosse posted an overall record of 10-5 and went 5-4 in the Centennial Conference, good for fifth place in the 10-team league.
